The 7 Blessings from God

The word of God tells us the mind of God for our lives. We gain knowledge of the purpose of God for us as we engage ourselves in studying God’s word. The book of Ephesians chapter 1 elaborates on the 7 Blessings from God or the 7 blessings you receive because of your union with Christ Jesus.

The first of the 7 blessings from God is that we receive all spiritual blessings. God’s word in Ephesians 1 verse 3 declares this blessing.

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

Secondly, we are adopted into God’s family, as seen in verses 4 to 5 of Ephesians 1.

⁴ Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. ⁵ God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

The third of the 7 blessings from God is that we receive God’s glorious grace (Ephesians 1:6).

So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.

Furthermore, we learn from verse 7 of Ephesians chapter 1 that God has given us total freedom.

He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.

Moreover, we receive God’s kindness and mercy, and all mental blessings from God (Ephesians 1.8). Finally, we receive all of God’s inheritance (Ephesians 1:11)

Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.
