The Signs of the Holy Spirit

One of the signs of the Holy Spirit is to be a witness for Jesus. Acts 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Speaking in tongues is another sign of the Holy Spirit: Acts 2:4

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Moreover, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in our bodies is a sign of the presence of the Holy Spirit in us.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says,

¹⁹ Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; ²⁰ you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Another sign of the Holy Spirit is that the Holy Spirit gives you joy and peace. The word of God in the book of Romans 15:13 brings to light this reality.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Furthermore, you have the unction for your great commission. The Holy Spirit leads and guides you: Luke 4:1-2

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, ² where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them, he was hungry.
